Hi Ladies I just have a small concern and wanted to see what everyone else does. I am still taking the pill and I am over 40, is it safe? I have been taking it on and off for 20 years. I am a solo parent so I don't need it for birth control. I take it because it regulates my period and keeps it very light. Is there anything else that is safer then the pill for the over 40s and also controls your period.

I think it depends on a number of factors. Including blood pressure, family history etc talk to your GP.
