Hey ladies I have 4 beautiful children and I definitely don't want anymore so I was thinking about having my tubes tied. I was after some info about it from ladies who have had one done. I'm 27 do you think they won't do it because of my age? How did you go about getting one? How much is it to have one (I'm in nsw). Did you have any issues with anything after having it done? Any info Is appreciated thank you

Hysterectomies are usually done for medical problems not as a birth control. You would have to fight really hard to get one, and you'd definitely have to go private. Even for medical reasons doctors like to exhaust all other avenues. They prefer to do tubal ligation or similar for birth control, but even before that they will suggest Mirena or similar. A hysterectomy is a big operation, big recovery time. Tube tying is day surgery, and at least if you changed your mind about more kids have the option of ivf (and people do change there minds). There is no changing your mind regarding having your uterus removed and doctors for obvious reasons feel very uncomfortable removing body parts for non medical reasons.
Oops I meant tubes tied. I don't know why I was thinking it was called a Hystorectomie when I wrote this!
