Husband reverting back to the naughty school kid

We just attended our first childs prep interview at a catholic school, our child was so shockingly behaved I could have crawled into a whole and died.

My question is with my husband, He has always had a problem with authority (not anything bad, but he hates being told what to do) I have a way that I get him to do things after years of practice.
But I noticed when we enrolled our lil boy at the school my husband was so nervous.
Then in the interview has was saying what he thought the principle wanted to hear not what goes on in our family.

My husband went to a catholic school, and we both agreed it would be best for our kids to go to a catholic school as our boy is free sprited and would like to rein it in, with some back up.

My husband was acting like he was back at school, it was bizaar.
Sooo how will he be when our kids start school next year and the year after that, I really dont want 3 kids (especially when one is 35yrs old)
He was jittery and he was telling the principle that we have a very libral way of dealing with dicipline which is completely untrue as I am very striked, being the parent most of the time and my husband is the fun.
When the principle said that she needed some structure from our boy he came down on our boy like a ton of bricks.

My question is how do I deal with my husband reverting back to the naughty school kid when we are in this situation, and I most definately do not want our kids acting like this.
