Does anyone know of an online support group for partners of prisoners in Victoria? Hubby has been in for 13 months, we have 3 children (1 who is special needs) and this single parenting bizzo is hard on all of us! I wouldn't mind talking to people in similar situations. Thank you in advance

I don't know of any support groups but maybe check with the prison facility that he is in or my go to is always google!! I'm sure if you posted in your question with you approx location something would come up. Or ring lifeline and ask. Your not going to be the only mum out there in this situation - there must be something! If not, have you considered starting a support group yourself?? Good luck, hope you find something that's right for you x
Just reposted on the Facebook page and hope it helps out! xKelly
The prison facility should have a family liaison worker that you can talk to they offer support to prisoners and their families and should be able to direct you to any other support networks available, you could also try your local community agency's such as salvos, uniting care etc. good luck having a loved one in prison is really difficult on the family members they almost do their own sentence trying to survive on their own and then trying to fit in visits etc.
hi! I have finally gotten my computer up and running to tell you that you are not alone, I have been in your situation recently and I too looked for online support, to no avail. Please feel free to find me on facebook and PM me, I too had a partner in prison and two little ones, I know exactly how draining and confusing it can be. I'm happy to chat and listen, because bloody hell its an isolating experience. chin up, and you're doing an amazing job in a difficult and often hidden situation. x
