Hi IM's,
I'm freaking out big time. I had my marina coil taken out last Monday and still haven't had my period. My husband and I did have sex on the weekend and I read yesterday that sperm can live up to 3 days inside and if I happened to be ovulating then I could be pregnant. I just wanted to know if there were others out there that took a long time to bleed after having the coil removed. I'm so scared because of health reasons I can't carry another baby as that will put me in danger because I was luck to survive my last pregnancy. I feel so stupid that we didn't think of this before.
How long before you got your period after having marina coil removed?

It is very possible to get pregnant very quickly when stopping any kind of contraceptive. I'd go get the morning after pill from the chemists if I was in your situation and buy a huge package of condoms. Plus make a decision on what type of contraception you want to use long term.
I had mine out 2 months ago and yes I freaked out too. My period came 3 weeks after removal.
