You should be able to do quite well. Meat is expensive :)
Check your phone plans, foxtel (if you have it) and get down to basics or cancel what you can. Make sure you know when rego, insurances, and power is due. Get rego and insurances put in instalments until money is coming in. Instalments are dearer in the long run but until the business kicks off it's a good way to go.
You can do it! My husband decided to start a new business the month our 1st was born, great timing lol. But it worked its self out.
Negotiate with your energy providers and cut down the phone bills if you can. Foods like pasta and rice dishes will bulk up meals. Frozen veggies are great value for using in pastas and casserole etc. Home baked cookies and slices are much cheaper than buying and taste better anyway. Plant some winter veggies for a bit extra (kids should like this to). If your going to do alot of baking buy some powdered milk to use its cheaper and makes no difference :)
Good luck and congrats on the new adventure!
We have recently done the same, it was hard at first to learn to live without money but it can be done! Good planning helps heaps and anyway to simplify everything helps as well!
Good luck!
Can you get a job
