How do you add a wish list to your baby shower inviations, and is it considered rude to do so?

I'm planning my Baby shower and my friend suggested adding a wish list to the invites so people buy a gift that is needed. How do I go about doing this? Do you think it's rude to add a wish list? Would you prefer the mother to be receive things she needs? Help pls

wish lists are great. I don't think it's rude.

Just word it as "if you are stuck for ideas we have come up with a list for you" or along those lines. I wouldn't have any problems with being invited with a wish list but I'm really bad at buying presents (I would probably get baby a microwave lol) so it would save a lot of hassle of picking out something.

What about doing a registry? Or maybe just ask for cash or gift cards? we just asked for nappies and wrote on the invite that we had everything we needed

My friend did this for my baby shower and gave a different theme to each guest like 'play time', sleep time, bath time, clothes, essentials (nappies wipes etc) etc that way there were no double ups. I dont think its rude
