How do I stop bottles? My little one is 20 months old and still has a bottle. He refuses to drink cows milk. I've tried slipping it in with formula little by little but he can always tell and will scream until he gets a bottle without cows milk. He's a good eater, has three main meals plus snacks, he doesn't get a lot of junk food at all. I just don't know how to get rid of the bottles, some days I can get him down to just having one at his day sleep and one at bedtime other days he wants 3or4. I don't know if it's a comfort thing? Or if he's seeing his 4 month old sister having bottles and wants to be like her? Please I don't know what to do!!

Is it so bad that he's still on bottles? Just think when he's 18 he won't be drinking a bottle lol. give it a bit more time my son is also 20 month and still has 2 bottles a day
Both my now 4.5 year old and 3 year olds dropped theres at 16months and 2 years when I filled the bottle with warm water. There was a little crying but they very quickly stopped. I also made sure that the only time they would get milk was when it was in a sippycup/glass so then they would be forced to either have that or a bottle of water. They decided on the sippycup very quickly! Also I cut bottles down to ONLY at night time towards the end, that way they were slowly weening off of it anyway. Good luck!
Mine had her bottle until she was about 3 1/2. She was fully day trained but not night trained because she was still having a bottle at night. Then she came to me and said she wanted to wear big girl knickers to bed too, like her big cousin and I said okay, but you can't have bottles in bed anymore because you might have an accident. And that was that, no more bottles. Personally I wouldn't worry too much about it, kids are (usually) pretty good about taking the lead in this stuff. You'll know when he's ready.
