How do I change routine in readiness for day care?

Hi IMs, I'm wondering what other mums did/do about routines when their kids are at day care? How did you get bub ready in the morning with feeds etc? At the moment DS wakes between 5and 6, sometimes won't go back to sleep and has brekkie at around 8. Then in the arvo his bedtime routine starts at 5:15 with a walk, then bath and bottle then solid feed and put down after 7, but once I'm working again we won't be home till after 6:15. I'm stressed about juggling getting him and I ready in the mornings and keeping him happy (he's very stuck on our routine now and any deviation really seems to upset the poor thing). Any tips or advice would be fab! Tia

It doesn't sound like you will have a problem in the morning with getting ready. Maybe have breakkie earlier so you can both be out the door when needed. However allot of day cares do breakfasts in the morning so you may not need to worry about that. In the evening it looks like you'll have a more difficult time. I would start with dinner first and then bottle feed just before bed. Don't stress about bubs being starved as allot of day care centres also provide a late afternoon snack.
I'm lucky with both of mine being very cruisie babies and wasn't too stuck on routine, however it's one of those things I think that you'll need to figure out as you go along. Best thing is to get yourself ready as much as possible the night before, shower at night, clothes chosen and put out, lunch packed etc. Then in the morning you just need to get dressed and bubs ready and out the door.
