I've just gone from working full time to maternity leave and I am bored. Beyond bored! Borderline depressed.
I've never felt so down, out, completely useless and no sense of identity... And it's only been 2 weeks and baby isn't here yet. And I have another 6 weeks to go.
Money is tight, so I can't get out of the house every day.
I've also been diagnosed with hypertension - so I am meant to be taking it 'easy' and resting. But I hate TV... I don't like reading... I've watched just about every DVD in my local DVD store.
Hubby works long hours, when he is home - he is great. It really is the only time of the day that I feel normal and I am aware that I need to give him his space too - to relax after work etc. but I just feel like clinging to him like a koala.
What else can I do?
Nursery is set up.
House is cleaned.
I've cooked heaps of meals for the freezer.
Bag is packed.
Friends all work Mon - Fri.
My mum drives me crazy, so she isn't an option.
Urgh! I need ideas! Going crazy!!!
What did you do to pass the time?

Not quite the same thing, I was forced home for 12 months it was a challenge! I quite enjoy self directed research so that kept me busy for a few hours. My house was spotless. I've done some light gardening. I'd add to your list taking really long showers because you'll be lucky if you get one once the baby arrives!
Aaaaahhhhh boredom! Hahaha ENJOY it!! Yes really long showers, condition your hair, blast music loud, sleep, eat, cook, go to local pool and float around for a while.
documentaries, art, puzzles, long showers, youtube, sudoko, drawing, finding new things to cook.
Pelvic floor muscle exercises!! Haha. Enjoy your sleep- that's the main thing I would of said to myself. Also I would have done more professional development. Perhaps even something crafty or musical you are into that stuff.
