Hi I am looking for advice on how to be/feel less lazy. I am in my early 30s with 3 children and a wonderful husband. I am almost 150kg and I feel like everything is an effort. I am exercising most days and trying to eat better as I know my weight is contributing to the issues. I am not depressed I have been there and out the other side. But motivation is low. My question is how to I just make myself do things, eg house work, meals, appointments, etc.

I was in a similar place to you. I started with small changes one at a time. I made those changes part of my routine, because once they are just part of that routine they become mindless, you don't even have to think about them. So I started with small easy goals. Got myself a fitbit so I could track my activity levels and started setting small goals around that. I walk at the same time everyday. Once that was routine and established I changed my breakfast for a healthier option, I eat the same 2 meals for breakfast, it's thoughtless and easy. Then I moved to adding one job in a day, I do the dishes at the same time everyday. I just kept building from there. I'm still building and still adding things in. It's a work in progress but it's sustainable and long term changes rather than quick fix temporary changes.
Instead of thinking of it like you do exercise so you don't have to do anything else, think of it as a healthy persons lifestyle. Every time you move is incidental exercise. A healthy fit person can jump up and grab something or hang washing quickly, or walk or run down to the shops, or take the stairs instead of waiting for the lift, whereas an overweight, tired, sore person struggles much more. It's a cycle for both people. Make your lifestyle more active and you'll just benefit and benefit. So be that person for a week, or two, and it will become easier, it will become your new normal and as you get fitter it will become easier, the battles just so hard at the start. Stick with it and for now make the choice to be the person you want to be and soon it will come naturally and easily.
Oh I just posted about this myself. I'll follow your post to see what advice people give.
In the mean time - I hear you! :)
