Really need advice, I am stressing out. I have been living in this rental for 6 months with my partner and son. During that time we have had SO many problems with only very few actually fixed, and thats after sending them a remedy breach. We have had problems with our hot water heater and a few other things and after contacting them multiple times and still not having the problems fixed I sent out another remedy breach form, now it has been 3 weeks and still nothing, we have considered breaking lease but how does anyone afford to do that? We have no money left over every fortnight to save enough to pay even 1 week rent advance for a new home, let alone the bond, and bond cleaners for this house. We can't get a loan because we just got a finance out for a car days before Christmas. Does anyone know what we could do? I am just over the real estate being impossible to contact and completely lazy. Also get married in 1 month and our car rego to pay the next month so more things to pay for. Sorry about the long winded story.

Ring the rta for advice as to your options. You may be able to withhold rent to pay for the repairs etc yourself if they have not responded to the remedy breach in the appropriate time, but ring the rta to check whether this would be allowed in your circumstances. If you really want to move out, I'm not really sure what financial options would be open to you I'm sorry.
call the tenancy board, they will let you know your rights, do not stop paying rent until you have spoken to them as the real estate can use that as an excuse to kick you out and wont give you a reference. also speak to centrelink they can also help you deal with these problems and give you advice.
