Hi IM's!
I'll try and keep this as short as possible!
My partner and I have a little boy and are expecting our 2nd in September (yes only found out today we are pregnant) this was all planned and agreed to start trying from both of us. I told my partner today the good news and all I got back was 'meh' didn't say anything else! I was absolutely gutted and didn't know what to do...I feel as though this is all a mistake, but he clearly said let's try!
I guess my question is I think he is depressed (lost his mum suddenly 6months ago) and it's really affecting us but he won't get help...how can I encourage him to seek help!?

Is it possible he is in a bit of shock and didn't know what else to say even though it was planned? My husband lost his dad and it took about a year for depression to set in with a diagnosis of severe depression. Also if he is depressed keep in mind holidays and certain dates can be super hard. Possibly Christmas, New Year etc might have been a bit much for him... I would gently encourage him to see a GP to do a screen for depression. Good luck!
