my lil girl is 3 and since about a yr and a half ago she complains her bum is sore every night and starts screaming in agony (there is absolutely no redness or anything there) ive been to different doctors one said it was pin worms so we treated her for that but she still kept screaming a week later so he put her on antibiotics and said maybe its an infection that seemed to clear it up for a few months then it started again so we saw a different doc who gave her an anti fungal cream (hydrozole) which worked wonders so i used that everytime she started complaining about her "bum" being sore. ive run out of the cream now and taken her to a different doctor again and he has said it isnt her bum hurting it is actually her vagina and the skin between her vagina and bum which she has a form of dermatitis (which is from using fraganced shower gels and bubble bath) there he gave me another different cream (resolve) that i have been using for 5 days now and last night she again woke at 1am screaming so i gave her some panadol and put more cream on but 2hrs later my poor girl is still screaming and cant sit still always moving her legs and dragging her bum on the bed cause its hurting. now i know she doesnt have worms as i wormed her not even a month ago. i dont know what else to do for her to ease her pain and she cant tell me how it is feeling down there cause she doesnt understand. Can anyone give me any tips on how to ease this pain i have a 3 week old newborn who wakes to her screaming so im exhausted trying to deal with one screaming and one attached to the boob any home remedies or anyone who has this kind of thing if u could please give me some tips it would be appreciated. tia

You need to keep seeing the same dr. You'll never get to the bottom of it (so to speak) if you keep seeing a different one. If you can, get her back into the GP. If she is in that much pain you should take her to the emergency room
It still could be worms. My boyfriend has had worms since he was a baby, he has been given loots of medication for It but never gets rid of them completely. He has some kind of super worm which is quite rare. He too used to rub his bum on the ground and wake up in pain so bad they called ambulance. Anyway I would maybe see a specialist gynecologist?
My youngest used to do the same. Turned out she had thrush and then cos she wouldn't leave it alone she got a uti as well. She always said it was her bum but it actually wasn't which is hard cos me and the dr checked her bum and it was fine. My middle daughter also gets irritation down there so sometimes needs to sleep without undies and occasionally a ice pack helps. Good luck.
I think you are overdue to go to the children's hospital. Don't ignore this, which i can see you are not, but time to take her to hospital instead of different gps. she needs to see a urologist, a specialist in that area. Tell her she is in pain every day and don't let them send her home with a prescription for antibiotics or creams or nurofen. Tell them you are not coping with a three week old and your other child being in pain and they have to help you. Either admit her to hospital or give you an emergency appointment with the hospitals urologist. She may need ultrasounds, or other scans on the day you are in emergency and suggest these to them even if they don't.
