I need a new approach , I have 2 children both with asd .. Recently we have had a lot of turmoil at home a lot more the. 2 kids should have to cope with .. I'm a single mum and I do my best I work full time , I'm finding at the moment life is stressful and I've become a yeller .. It's not productive , the children yell back and it's created a cycle that is hard to break , I know it's my fault I'm tired I'm stressed and have taken on the world . But at 930 at night and still fighting about bedtime showering and just getting the basics done we turn into screaming banshees nothing gets achieved , due to recent events my daughter won't sleep alone or shower alone so getting my time to breath is just not happening .. I have visuals I've does triple p , I've done 123 magic . I just need to find a way to breath and get us happy an calm again any suggestions we also currently do ot weekly and speech

Sometimes you just have to stop. Take a day off if you can, forget about chores and what needs to be done for a day. Watch a movie together, go to the park, whatever it is you all enjoy. Taking that time out makes all the difference. Also organise some respite care through the Commonwealth Carelink number, or even have them come to the house and do some housework for a few hours.
