My 1 year old bangs his head all the time! Sometimes he's just sitting next to a wall or cupboard and just bangs it. Lately he's been banging his head on the floor during tantys which makes him cry louder esp on tiles. Last night he went it the loungeroom table and banged his mouth on it on purpose. No tanty, just happily walking around. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything I can do, should I be worried?

Firstly make sure your not reacting to it. It's a really hard thing not to do but reacting can make it worse. It's worth a discussion with your child health nurse or GP to go through a child development checklist. If everything else is fine then I would t be worried a lot of kids do this and there is a question every month about it :)
I've been through it. It's the hardest thing to do, but unless there is blood or he looks like he has really hurt himself, walk away and ignore it. It took me 2 loooong months to be able to walk away and ignore it.
He still does it occasionally, but rarely. And it's a lot easier to ignore now.
