Hi imperfect mums,
Just wanting some advice.
I am feeling lost at the moment in my life. I am 23 years old and have a 4 year old son. I am a qualified high school teacher and am on a temp contract for the year and have been teaching for the past 2 years. However I'm not sure if teaching high school students is for me. I'm wondering if I should have instead studied early childhood education so I could work in a daycare or a pre-school. I don't really want to go back to uni for another 4 years though to re-study to become a early childhood educator.
Teaching at high school for me at the moment is so draining. Always bringing work home with me. I guess I'm asking is teaching in early childhood any easier? I mean I guess you still do reports and prepare lessons etc.
Sorry this is probably more me just expressing my feelings than anything else. Thank you for any feedback or positive comments you could provide xx

No, it's not any easier just different. You probably have to deal with more anxious parents in early childhood though so in lots of ways it's harder. Although younger kids are easier to manage if they have behaviour issues.
You probably wouldn't have to do a whole 4 years, you'd have RPLs.
I looked into childcare and hated it! about to start my bach of ed.
