give up breastfeeding?

Hi fellow im's. My daughter is 13 weeks old and I'm starting a night course starting next week for 1 night week. So I need her to take a bottle for the caregiver. She's so difficult!!! It takes like an hour to convince her to have it. When she does she's fine! I've previously tried different bottles and the advent seems to be the only one she'll take at this point. I've tried both ebm and formula. Both of which she reacts in the same way. she's taken the bottle from me and from others. So my question is, should I just stop breastfeeding and put her on the bottle with formula? In all honesty I don't think I'd stick to expressing milk and bottle feeding for long

It's for one night a week, so if you can express enough to sustain her while you're gone, if she takes a bottle from whomever is baby sitting her, I'd keep breastfeeding if you're both enjoying it and you wish to continue :)
I wouldn't mix feed if you can avoid it :)

Ok If breastfeeding is important to you don't let this stop it altogether. Have you tried leaving a piece of your clothing with the caregiver a shirt youve worn so bub will smell you and feel safe? Maybe get your caregiver to walk around, rocking gently enough to settle first and try to give the bottle before bub is crying out for a feed and if gently distracted by the rocking/walking may take the bottle? Have you tried different brands of bottles/teats I personally wouldn't stop breastfeeding for one night per week, but are we talking about one breastfeed does your course go for a couple of hours that you could possibly give her a top up before you leave and another when you get back? Or could you give formula for just that feed? Australian Breastfeeding Association have a helpline that I have found to be fantastic! Their phone number is 18006862686 or their website is www.breastfeeding.asn.au
