getting organized in the kitchen

Hi Fellows Mums.
I really need to get organised in the kitchen. This year I'll three kids in school (prep years 2 and 3). I work during the week as well.
I'm looking for cost effective ideas that are easy and quick to prepare and cook. And ideas on meal planning. I'm not a very adventurous cook or eater.
There are 3 kids, and two adults to feed.
I would love to cut down on cost as well as we have a wedding to plan! I'm in cairns so we don't have Aldi's only coles woolworths iga and local meat/fresh produce places.
TIA

Get a slow cooker! You can get away with cheaper cuts of meat and won't have to prepare a meal as soon as you come in the door. I also tend to make double batches of things like pasta, casseroles etc because they reheat well the next night.

I also make pizza dough ahead of time and freeze in batches so I can take out in the morning and just put toppings on and bake
