This is quite a hard question for me to ask, where can I get food vouchers in Victoria?
After paying rent we have literally no money, and we are running out of food in the freezer, and staples like spaghetti and rice etc.
My fiancé hasn't been able to find a job for about a year now and we have a 1 year old, 2 year old and another baby due soon. I hate admitting the fact that we are struggling but we are and it really sucks. I had a look online and all I found were links for homeless people, and to be honest we are renting a beautiful home even though it's old - we love it. So I feel guilty asking for help when we aren't homeless and can afford rent and bills, when there are so many people worse off than us. Any resources or tips would be greatly appreciated, thankyou

The Salvation Army should be able to help you. With rents at an all time high you are not alone. Don't be afraid to let family know what's happening. When I was in a hard spot family pitched in with staples. A few packets of pasta goes a long way! Also the Salvation Army offer financial counselling which may be of help.
Vinnies also will be able to help you. They give you food vochers they meet up with you and after discussing your circumstances they write up a voucher for an amount they think will be of benefit for your family. I have had to do this once ( family of 5)
We hit a tough spot and couldn't afford food and we had next to nothing left in the pantry so I contacted Vinnies and they wrote me out a voucher for $100
Hope this helps
