Follow up to toilet training question last week

Hi everyone. I wrote in a week or so ago about my son and toilet training him. Well he's definitely ready, he wee'd on the potty this morning after telling me he had to go. He is dry all night (although I won't night training for now - or should I?). I'm just wondering what I do now. It's winter, it's cold so I can't just let him wear jocks. Do I ask him every half an hour if he needs to go, or do I just let him tell me (even if he forgets and does a few wee's in his nappy)? I have no idea, this is my eldest son and he's not turning 2 until august so I'm really unsure of what to do lol. Help please!!!!!

Sounds like he is ready to go! I know it's cooler but it sounds like he will be quick so maybe the expense of having the heater turned up is worth it for a week. I'd get rid of the nappies and put him in jocks for the daytime and that way they should be easier for him and you to manage. A few accidents are really good for learning! Although a pain to clean up so have your paper towels ready. Let him tell you when he needs to go but if you see any signs of him holding on too long (squeezing legs together etc) then remind him to go. And also treats for being successful and doing wees on the potty :)
