Lookimg for advice on bond after leaving my ex. Ive recently seperated from my ex almost 2 months ago. Most of the cost of the split has fallen on me as hes now moving into a house with his new woman and other people. I want my half of the bond back but he says ill have to pay for half of the bond clean even though i havent been allowed back in the house (he stole the keys of me) to clean it etc. ive told the real estate and tenancy tribunal ive moved but am now just waiting on him. Hes told me tonight hes given 3 weeks notice and when i mentioned the clean he said only if you pay half. I feel it should come out of the 2 weeks in advance as per tenancy agreement. Ill seek more legal advice but just wondering if anyone else has been thorough similar. As i have no money left to do a bond clean and am really needing the money to spend on my car that needs attention. Anyone have any advice or been though similar

can't help sorry, my situation I was better off just cutting my losses......nearing $9000 on top of repaiting clean and repairs. exit cleans are maximum $400 so its only $200 if that for half
If you want half the bond back you need to pay for half the bond clean, simple. You cant just expect him to pay for all of it and you not put any money in..
