My daughter is 8 going on 9. She was fully toilet trained at 2 and hasn't had any accidents until a year ago. It started when she was assaulted sexually by another kid, but I am really unsure if that's why its continued. Now its a few times a day! Is it medical? Is it psychological? We just got into abuse counselling after nearly a year, and I'm taking her back to the Dr's but has anyone else dealt with this? Sometimes she says she doesn't feel it coming and sometimes she says she does it for attention. Maybe it's because sometimes I am so exhausted by all the mental and emotional repercussions of what happened and adding fecal incontinence is just too much, and I lose it sometimes and say things I wish I could take back. Would seriously love some helpful IM advice!!! Please??!!

Make sure you are getting counselling. Then find a child psychologist who can help you with working through if its behavioural or emotional or medical. Take data of the accidents. eg did she do it when she was watching TV or playing a favourite game. If you can find a commonality then you will be on your way to understanding the why. Talk to her GP about her physical health to rule out any medical problem.
Please don't loose it at her. Teach her how to clean herself up.
Thank you :)
