Long story short
When i was 16 i had a baby to a man who was violent to me pretty much everyday, stalking manipulating the whole 9 yards
i finally left after 5 yrs and a 15 mnth old and being 18.
He was never there for child didnt care ect..
skip forward to today, i have a 3 yr old and he isnt in her life due to my fear and sensible thinking..
He is mentally ill on heavy drugs the works in and out of jail , has a terrible criminal history including at least 10 seperate avos,
We had avos...now that he was good and it finished i cant get another unless he plays up as ive been told by three different police stations.
i am not one of these mums keeping kids away from good dads at all i wont go into it but this man is no good for any woman or child.
He is most likely still looking for me..
now i cannot keep my baby safe is he desides tomorrow to take action simply for revenge which he has always threatened, he can come to my house, pick her up at school dissapear..nothing i can do
i went to legal aid applied for them to help get it on paper she lives with me..got refused twice due to as they put it " not a substantial issue".
I cannot afford lawyers ect..
he is in full rights to take her at any second..
any advice?

Beg, borrow steal the money. Get a quote you might be surprised. I'd be liquidating, getting a job, or a second job what ever so I can afford it.

I'm a single parent on benefits too. You can get no interest loans/micro finance for this sort of thing. Or get an advance on your centrelink payments. Trust me if it is as important as you say you find the money.
Been there done that.. go get legal aid.. I was working and still eligible for legal aid. Did a great job. Didnt have to do mediation because of previous mental health with him and dvo's. Courts judged in favour of my son and he never has to see him. Which doesn't happen often but stick to the facts. Don't bring garbage that doesn't matter into it and he would hang himself in court if he even got there. DVO'S Are a pile of shit and not worth the paper they are written on as doesn't stop them from harassing you anyway they find ways around it and yep you can't get another unless they do something horrible. My son was taken and still the laws couldn't bring him back with the history we had I had to get friends to help then my son never wanted to see him again. Some people use the kids to hurt you. Please get some legal aid because they can help if your willing to go to court. Won't happen overnight but be strong.. it will get better good luck x
