Effects of Ross river virus

Does any mums suffer from Ross river virus. I was diagnosed 18 mths ago. During that time I fell pregnant and had our little boy during the pregnancy everything cleared up. But since having my son some of the symptoms have come back mostly the fatigue and joint painjoint pain is a lot worse when it's cold. I can most of the time deal with the fatigue but the joint pain is really starting to kill me. My wrists are the worst and our youngest is only 5mths. Simple things like bathing, and carrying him, changing nappies have become very difficult especially on bad days. Recently my wrists have started to give way which is starting to really worry me thinking if I where to be holding one of my kids when my wrist gives way that I could possibly drop them. I try and be safe where ever possible and use the pram a lot. Is anyone or has anyone suffered from Ross river did ur joints get better as your body recovered or did they stay the same or get worst ?? I really don't want to be in pain for the rest of my life, I don't like to take pain relievers all the time and my dr says besides taking fish oil suppmiments and not using the effected joint theirs not much more I can do. A little hard to stop using your wrists when you have 3 kids and a husband to look after.

My partner got ross river about 5 yrs ago and the same as you had extreme joint pain and extreme fatigue. I can't remember how long it lasted but I'm thinking maybe a year and he now has no symptoms of it so I would say even though now seems bad now it will get better:) Good luck
