Eating habits and losing control

Okay so I know I could lose a few kilos, and it's been hard work but I've had a crappy week and over the last 2 nights I've over endulged in chocolate...
So I took myself off to the route and tried to make myself throw up... I didn't succeed I wimped out, but I tried... What is wrong with me? why the hell would I attempt that? I now perfectly well it's a bad idea but I felt desperate. I don't know what to do, my eating is out of control, I'll eat to the point of feeling unwell and keep going... It's disgusting. I don't know how to change....

There could be a couple of issues, and they probably need to be explored with a health professional (psychologist who works with eating disorders).
A couple of reasons that I do this are
1. Being over restrictive about my diet which them leads to a binge later on
2. Emotional eating to full pain, having a tummy that hurts is better than feeling sad etc
3. Having binge foods too easily accessible.
It took me a long time to get things into balance and occasionally I'll binge but Overall everything is much more in balance and I no longer have the guilt etc.
