Hi fellow IMs, I'm just after some supportive vibes that our newest creation will be a sticky one. We are only just pregnant (VERY early days) and for the last 5 days I have been bogged down with a viral flu. The Dr said I still have another 4 or so days until I recover and Im so scared that this little bean won't make it. Trying to keep positive but I'm on bed rest and with dp at work and DD at daycare I have a lot of time to think about all the "what ifs" and worst case scenarios

It seems to be really common in early pregnancy, I think the immune system takes a huge knock or something! About half the women in our mother's group were hit by something similar in the first few weeks. I had a horrid bout of the flu when I was about 6 weeks pregnant with our girl. High temps, dizziness, fatigue etc. I too was petrified that our baby would be harmed by the high temps I had (she's fine). I made sure to keep on top of the Panadol every 4 hours to keep the temp down.
Rest up, sleep and look after yourself xxxx
