Did you use the name picked for your first child for your second?

Did you use the name picked for your first child for your second?

We had a baby girl And not knowing what we were having had names picked for both genders. I really love the name we had picked for a boy so I'm wondering if anyone still used their names they picked for the first baby for their second of if you picked all new names?

When our second child was born (a boy - the first was a girl) he didn't seem to suit the name we had picked if our daughter was a boy. We did use the name as a middle name for our second son :-)

Well my kids are all girls, but all three girls names were on the list of possibles for the first.

I knew I was having a girl for my second but hubby didn't. I disliked the boy name he had chosen but agreed because I knew I was having a girl..... 14 months later I'm having my third... a boy and guess what name had grown on me and we used.... :) Same for my daughters name, we only had one girls name we really liked, first child was a boy, second child a girl and yes she got that name.

I used the boys name picked out for my 1st for my son, who was born second. We loved the name so we kept it.

Our first wasa girl, we are expecting our son early next year and will be using the name previously picked, though if it really doesn't suit him we have a few back ups.

I don't see any need to think of a new name if you still love the other name :) Go for it!

I was the first child to my parents and they didnt know the gender so had a boys name and girls name, so they used the girls name when i was born for the second baby they didnt know the gender but reused the boys name, lucky for them they got to use it the second time. i dont think its wrong to have the same name hubby and myself have had names that have been on the list for all 3 of our kids

My second is the name we had picked for our first when I was convinced he was a girl we couldn't think of another when I was pregnant with number 2 that we liked.
