Ok ladies, I am seeking advice. Not relationship related. Lord help us we'd be here all day if I told you my woes. This is very TMI (menstrale cycle)
I got my first depo needle injection April 6th after being told my body was having a stress bleed outside of my cycle.
So I went the three months period free with minimal spotting.
When it was due to be boosted I just let it run out and all was good. A few weeks later, yucky bleeding that bounced around for 2 weeks.
Then nothing for a month, here I am expecting my normal cycle to kick in. Nope. Heavy clotting yucky bleeding for 14 days straight. Is this normal?
It stopped for 4 days and now it's back again? Sometimes it's heavy sometimes it's barely noticeable? Is this normal ?!
I'm also wondering, could I be ovulating bleeding ? I hope this isn't the case, I has unprotected sex while the bleeding had subsided to nothing.
I'm not overly worried if I do fall.
I'm just curious, what's everyone else's experience with this needle?

It took me about 6 months to get my cycle back on track after Depo (but was on it for 2 years+). In my experience it does mess with your cycle.
I didn't have weird bleeding though, just took about 5 months for my period to come back. I had one, then skipped 2 months and then it was back to a 27-31 day cycle.
Back to your doctor. Lots of things can cause weird bleeding and it should be investigated. I have fibroids which cause heavy and unusual bleeding and irregular periods, but there are many other causes.
I've been on the depo twice and both times it took months for me to regain a normal cycle. I would say from my experience that why you are experiencing it normal.
Kelly here - from The Imperfect Mum team - and although I have scheduled your question to go on facebook when it is it's turn in line - I really also want to encourage you to go to the doctors and ask some professionals also.
Womens bodies are so complicated - and individual - and so what is happening for another may be different for you! You deserve to have individual treatment :-)
Wish you all the best and I hope the responses help! xKelly
