daycare dilemma

Hello everyone,
I'll start with a few details my son is just over 3 years old he has cp, at the moment he can only eat puree or food containing small lumps and thickened fluids. He can't physically hold himself up he has head control his arm movements are improving, he can take well placed steps while I'm holding him he just has to improve on his balance and strength. At the moment he sleeps with me 11:00 pm till 9pm (we have been to sleep school) he had some traumatic experiences while sleeping so it's comforting for the both of us if he sleeps in my bed because I still wake up several times a night to check on him, he doesn't nap and currently has specialist appointments fortnightly.
He has no means of communication so he cries all of the time which i have grown accustomed to but we're trying to introduce other methods, he also has some bad habits, he bites his fingers or anything that Is put in his hands, he tries to bite my shoulder when I'm carrying him which is a lot because he doesn't like being in his pram, he has a high low chair that he is supposed to be sitting in for activities and feeding at home but he will refuse to eat or sit in it so he usually sits on me while I feed him.

I have learnt to read his physical indicators so I can tell if he's about to lose a bit of head control and possibly headbutt me but other people obviously don't know him well enough to know these things which brings me to my question, I really want to go to uni but that would mean putting him in day care and that terrifies me to no end, I have heard lots of problems cirrculating about day cares and I know that there is more good than bad but there's so much room for error and that's where the fear stems from and I'm just wondering if anyone has experience or even some reassurance because I'm in two minds about the idea, thank you for reading

My son has autism and when he was daycare age, the daycare centre accessed special funding so my son had someone with him, just for him and his special needs. It was great for my son and me. It gave him a little more independence and me some adult time. They were awesome with my kid! So my advice, go look at some daycare centres, go speak to directors and find one yob like and enrol him for one day a week. Give it a chance and give them a chance to get to know your boy.
