Cows milk for one year old

Cows milk for one year old

Hi,
I want to try and get my one year old off formula and into cows milk.
I've given him a few sips of cold cows milk before and he seemed to like it..

At the moment he has gone off his food which I'm guessing is due to him getting his molars. With every new tooth, he goes off food for a few days..
So he is mainly having formula and yoghurt, custard and fruit. That's all he will eat.

What I want to know is, do I heat the cows milk up? Do I leave it cold?
He currently has 180ml of formula per bottle, do I give him 180ml of cows milk?

Thanks in advance :-)

I substituted the same amount of cows milk as i was using in formula, so i would give him 180ml - and from what i can remember (only a year ago but feels like a lifetime!) i started by a bottle of half formula half cows milk and when he was happy with that, just gradually made it all cows milk. If hes happy to have the cows milk straight up though, you wouldn't really need to do the half and half. And yep, heat it up like you did with the formula :) Best of luck!

my daughter is 7 months now and for the past few weeks we have been using cows milk on her weetbix. pouring boiling water then adding the cows milk means its not as harsh for her bowl but still gets her used to the taste... (wasn't easy at first she was addicted to formula) but now she loves it and we have cut her down to twp bottles a day. if your son doesn't eat weetbix then try it with some cereal. just diluting it with some water :) hope this helps
