At my wits end!! Need some advice of experiences with the mirena IUD. I have been bleeding at least two days out of the week for 12 months now. All bloods test unltrasound including internal Pap smear and std test clear!! Tried the implanting implant and 3 different types of pill and still nothing. Mirena is now last thing. I'm 26 no kids and starting to get scared it will never happen. Tia

I got the mirena in last year some time.. i love it.. the best thing i dont have to get up and remember to take the pill.. when u first get it in u will have some bleeding but it will stop after a couple of days.. but u may not even, not really sure what u want to know about it but i have had maybe 3 periods in the time i have had it and they dont last as long and they are more spotting then anything.. all u can do is try.. it dose hurt a little when they put it in and i think u have to wait 24 hrs before u have sex.. but it lasts 5 yrs and if u wanna try for a baby u can get it taken out and start right away.. that is what my dr told me.. did u get an information book about it cos that answered some of my questions about it.. hope this helps any other questions u have just ask and i will see if i can help u good luck..
