What age does everyone think it's ok to start taking a child to the cinema
My son is 3 in August and I'm considering taking him soon as he loves Minions.

Take him! Especially if it's during the day. There are lots of young kids at kids movies. Even if he wriggles etc nobody will notice because everyone else's kids are doing it too. If you're really not sure look for an advertised 'crying session' where mums and bubs are encouraged to attend.
He'll love it! Not sure what state you're in but in NSW we have 'mums n bubs' sessions through hoyts. Mid you Google hoyts mums n bubs it will give you a time. These sessions are great as the lights aren't dimmed as much and all the mums have toddlers. Or else try a normal day session, for a kids movie most of the attendees in a day session are going to have kids and will understand.
Go for it Mumma he will love it :-)
Take him, the cinemas near me have one particular day that's for kids. Each Tuesday morning we can go to the movies and watch which ever kids movie is out with all these other kids, babies, and parents. I find it's a great way to let them have the experience and I don't feel that bad if they make a noise cos other kids are doing it aswell.
Try him! I have been taking my kids since an early age, my boys were all good, my daughter was the wiggler, she is 6 and she still won't sit through a movie without having to go to the toilet at least 4 times! But that's all in the fun of it!
My stepdaughter was 2 the first time we took her my son was about 3 the first time we took him. My stepdaughter was a very calm child who would sit intrigued by movies, my son is spirited and it took him a bit longer before he really sat and watched movies that's why we held of a bit longer with him. You know when your child is ready ?
You know your son better than anyone. Does he sit through a movie at home ? Its more about how your child can sit watching than what age. I took 3 5 year olds. They were all different. :-)
