Childcare Fees

Childcare Fees

I live in Brisbane and I'm due to have my first baby in 2 months. I will be returning to work when bub is about 12 months old and I'm stressing about organising childcare. I know it will vary slightly but what is the average that people fork out per hour or per week for daycare? Unfortunately I'll be forced to put my child into care 5 days a week, 8am - 5pm. I'm sad even thinking about it :( But places I've looked up don't have their fees listed and Id like a rough ball park of the cost before I start enquiring. Thanks ladies x

Hi, it is different for everyone and is based on your income. There are childcare rebates and childcare benefits you would likely receive. Personally I pay $155 for a full time week. Monday to Friday. Putting the rebate and benefit aside though my daycare charges $95 per day so don't let the overall daily price scare you :-) I would ask centrelink because they will tell you based on your personal circumstances :-)

Yep depends on your income, family daycare is much more affordable than childcare centers, we pay $1 an hour through family daycare :)

It's around $100/day but what u actually pay will vary massively depending on your family income. Ring Centrelink and ask them what your CCR and CCB %'s would be based on your annual income and then ring a few centres and ask them to calculate the out of pocket fee for you
