changing diet / emotional toddler

I have a very emotional 2 year old and am considering trying to cut sugar/preservatives out of his diet to see if this will calm him down a bit. I'd love some suggestions of where to start from other mums who have chosen to do the same, plus also some suggestions of other things to look at - I have no idea, I just know he's very very emotional compared to my other child and other kids in general. maybe it's just his personality, but I'd like to explore a few avenues to try and find out.

would also love some recipes from those of you who have changed diets of your kids. thank you mummas x

My niece has emotional reactions to preservatives. It does exist and it's good to get control of it when he is younger as its much harder to change diet at 5+ . However I find younger siblings can tend to be more emotional and clingy and what not, so I wouldn't worry too much and try not to compare to other kids. But no hurt in getting everything checked out
