Today, I witnessed a baby being left in a car. Thankfully, before I had even realised what was happening, the mother came running and got him out. I am unsure of how long he was in there but he was fine. It could have gone so differently.
I am not being judgemental, and I know this can happen to anyone (hello sleep deprivated parents), but just please make sure you check your car seats before you leave your car. It is getting very hot now that summer is in full swing and it can take mere minutes for something devastating to happen.
I thought it would be a good idea to share this as a reminder and maybe for others to comment on how to stop incidents like this.

Great reminder and easier to do than some people imagine. My son is extremely quiet and sometimes when I'm driving I double check he is actually in the car! So I can imagine forgetting to get him out.
As a habit I put my mobile phone and handbag on the back seat.
