Quick question went to the doctors today and was told my bub is measuring 2 weeks behind. She wants me to wait a week to check how I'm going. Can anyone please tell me there experience with this ? We're u induced early ? Or did they just monitor it ?? I'm 30 weeks

All 3 of my kids measured behind. With my 3rd I measured 2/3weeks behind the whole pregnancy, they did an extra scan at around 32 weeks to make sure bub was growing. I just have small babies, my last was 5lb15oz and only 45cm long. My other 2 were both 47cm and 6lb2oz, 6lb10oz.
It's just a guide for the average baby but there has to be bigger and smaller babies out there too.
Thank you for your reply :) I think they are worried because the last 2 babies I have had have been 8-9 pound so they find it really odd that this baby is so small.
I measured behind too, it got to the point where growth was very low so the doctors decided that it would be best that I have a c section at 34 weeks. They will monitor you closely, I had scan weekly just to ensure all was well. Every second week was a growth scan (they told me they don't measure growth weekly as it's better to compare fortnightly) when babies were born (twins) one twin was 3 weeks behind and one was 5 weeks behind weighing a tiny 2 pound and 3 pound. BUT perfectly healthy, I believe my placenta was struggling a bit. Best wishes
My baby changed size every measurement. It can mean something or it can mean nothing. Wait for the scan then worry or not worry accordingly then. BTW my boy came out healthy on time.
I measured small too, about 2-3 weeks smaller. He was born naturally, at term, and weighed 8 pounds.
