Hi IM's, I'm 15wks pregnant and when I went to the toilet for a wee and wiped myself I noticed a brownish light discharge. Wasn't pink or red. Wasn't thick or heavy. Just a light smear on the toilet paper, almost like the consistency of wee. Of course I freaked out! I've since been reasured by a nurse that it's common and unless I have cramps or pink or red discharge, which is fresh blood, not to worry. I'm still worrying! I don't have cramps or any other discomfort. Has any IM's had a similar experience? Is there a reason for this happening? Was baby perfectly fine?

I bled throughout my entire pregnancy and apart from my baby coming pre term she was perfect. Mine was bright red, brown discharge is a sign of 'old' blood. Try not to stress, I'm sure everything is perfectly fine x
I was having so much of that 'normal' discharge that by the end of my pregnancy I was wearing pads!
Me too, I had way more discharge during pregnancy ick. All different colours and consistencies. I also had to wear pads! If the midwife says not to be concerned then I wouldn't worry. :)
I had spotting and bleeding through out my pregnancy and he was a healthy 9lb 8oz bub when he was born
