Breastfeeding through pregnancy

I just went to the doctor yesterday and I left the office frustrated with him after he recommended I wean my 15 month old because I'm 2 months pregnant ,
Iv been googling a bit and seen the national breast feeding site , Iv seen some things though abou feeding your toddler on one boob through the pregnancy?
Does anyone know when your milk changes to colostrum? I'm hoping the pregnancy will naturally wean her I was happy to go for two years but not much longer
Anything people can add from their experience would be great

You can still breast feed on both sides, and you will keep producing milk for her! You are probably better to speak with a lactation consultant who specialises in breastfeeding, rather than a doctor who doesn't know jack. Tandem feeding is definitely possible and our bodies are so amazing that depending on which child is feeding, the milk will change to suit!
I think most doctors say to wean because nipple stimulation can cause contractions but that definitley isn't always the case. So many women successfully breastfeed buring pregnancy. Check out the page Beautiful Breastfeeding on facebook and you may get more answers on there.
Good on you mumma!
