I have a 2 week old baby boy,2 yr old daughter and 6yr old son.
I am breastfeeding my newborn and have noticed my daughter imitating this action on her dolls. Is this something i should be concerned about? Never experienced this with my eldest son as he has ASD & at the time i was breastfeeding daughter, he was 4 but didnt understand what i was doing.
TIA x

I really don't think you have anything to worry about. She just sees you and doing it and is copying. You're over thinking it.
My daughter used to feed her dolls to. It never bothered me as to her it was the same as giving her dolls a bottle, just some roll play like kids do. Don't worry she just wants to look after her baby just like mummy is looking after hers.
There is nothing for you to worry about. I'm bf my 14wker and my daughter and nieces have been doing the same
I think its beautiful when a child copies their Mum breastfeeding! I cant wait until my daughter does it when my next baby is born. You are showing your daughter the most natural and normal way that a baby should be fed! Encourage it!! :)
Nope, perfectly normal. She is just playing, the same as playing house or 'cooking' or anything else. All good.
Perfectly normal... my 3yo son did this with the new baby. It wasn't the first time I saw or heard about this behaviour from a child either
Perfectly normal, in the same way that she might copy you when you are cooking or cleaning up, she copies you when you breast feed. Girls want to be like their mummies. Mine likes to carry a purse and wear dresses and accessories just like mummy :)
super normal, my 6 year old does it with her baby and shes never seen me breastfeed lol.
Very normal. Would you be concerned if she immitated you bottle feeding? It's the same: a child immitating her mother. Role play is just what children do. :)
