My son was your typical child, loved playing with his mates, making things, playing out side etc he had his good days and his bad.
He was in speech therapy which has helped him alot as he had alot of ear infections that affected his speech since docs believe antibiotics is always the answer.
School started and he loves it so much that he hates school holidays deals due to missing he teacher and mates.
But the last 2 months his gone down hill rather fast. Words can't describe how much anger he has. It's scary. If he can't put his shoes on he'll pelt it at you. If something dosent do what he wants he'll smash it or hit himself. He'll clench his fists and turn red.
He refuses to listen to anything. He knows what's right from wrong and will always do what he knows is bad. Smacking dosent work for him never has so he has the naughty chair and he'll just walk off now or sit there at yell and yell even though he knows he can't get off till he calms down.
I feel like I have somone else's child. His all over the place and I don't know what to do. I'm trying to stick to my guns and not bend the rules but it's at the point where Im out of ideas.
I've been to a specialist and he said his fine just needs more sleep as he wakes before 5. He use to sleep 7-7 but for some reason has stopped that nearly a year ago but will have a nap during the day some days because of it.
Nothing dramatic has happened or change the last few months so I have no idea what's caused this change but it's horrible.

Most kids go through rotten stages in there lives. Sometimes it's hormones, sometimes it's perfectionism, sometimes it's the desire to assert there independence. It's infuriating and all you can do is work through it.
Maybe investigate his diet? something could be setting him of..
I would consider worming him. My daughter displayed an extreme change in behaviour and sleep patterns, we were at our wits end. It ended up being intestinal worms. The worms stop your little ones from absorbing all of the good nutrients in their diet and causes sleep disturbances.
I would also seek a second opinion, go with your gut. You are posting here because you are second guessing what the Dr has already told you. Ask around for local recommendations for a good childrens Dr. & as another poster recommended have a look at possible changes in diet.
There is a great book called " The Chemical Maze" by Bill Statham. You can see what additives and preservatives are in the foods that your child eats, and which ones can cause behavioural issues amongst other things. Good luck Mumma!
