Hi ladies,
I have a 20 month old son who is quite bow legged to the point where I often hear strangers commenting on his bendy legs. These comments in no way bother me, but they do make me understand the severity of their bow. We have been to a few doctors who have all given the same answer - he should grow out of it by two, and they refuse to refer me to specialists before then.
Now I have a mil who is constantly pressuring me to do something about his legs... They've never caused him pain or slowed him down (he's been waking since 10 months).
What I am wondering is if any IM's have had this with their little ones and how was it resolved?
I'm feeling confident that he will grow out of it, but not before 2.
Thanks :)

I have bowed legs. Always have had. I used to walk with both fee pointing inwards and i never saw a problem with it, my mum used to always yell at me to turn me feet out. I saw a specialist recently and he said whilst its unusual, its due to hip rotation which is okay, just different.
Basically, im saying Im ok with bowed legs, hasnt stopped me from anything :) Im sure your son will be okay
My little niece was very bow legged when she started walking, I'm not saying it will be the same for your child but as she grew her legs straightened, she is now 9 and an awesome ballet dancer. So the doctors may be right, but if you don't see any inprovement as he gets older then I would be pushing the doctors further
