I have a 8 and 11 year old sharing a room. The bedtime antics are out of this world. They go to bed at 8 pm and read until 845. But they don't. They play around, mess up the room, endless trips to the loo etc etc.
I'd tried every thing from removing the reading the next night to having one sleep in our lounge. We only have 3 bedrooms and having their own room is no an option.
Any ideas what else I can try?

Sit in the room for a few nights and then move to hardcore spot checks (you could always put a mattress on the floor and get an early night yourself). Let them go to the loo once then that's it. Otherwise sit outside there room with a book yourself.
I did it for a week with my own son problem solved within a week.
