I am a mother of 4 beautiful children with number 5 on the way in 8 weeks.
We currently have our 5 (nearly 6 year old) and our 21 month old sleeping in our room. Cot mattress on the floor for our 5yo and a cot for our 21 month old.
I want to move them out into a room together before the baby gets here but am not sure what is the best way to do this.
Also my 21 month old is a very bad sleeper. My husband has to cuddle him in our bed to get him to sleep. He then puts him in his cot. At around midnight every night he wakes up screaming and throwing himself around in the cot and the only way to settle him is to put him in bed with us. He instantly goes back to sleep.
From midnight on he will wake up a few times crying and throwing himself around and kicking and screaming. It's very hard to deal with and I'm not sure what to do.
I can't physically pick up my 21 month old at the moment due to pregnancy complications so the constant night time interruptions in sleep are making my hubby very cranky and I don't think that is helping the situation, cause he grumbles at my son and makes the crying fits in bed worse.
Please give me some advice as to what I should be doing!

I would start with the 6 year old. Setting him up in his own room, you could sleep lie down with him while he goes to sleep and then exit once he is asleep.
Has the baby been checked by a doctor to discuss the sleep issues? If the baby has the all clear I would seriously look into sleep school. Don't know when you would fit that in, 8 weeks is close!
