Hey mums! I have a question about bath time? At what age did you leave them in the bath without supervision? To get a towel or something not a full bath alone? My son is almost 3 and a 4 month old even if it was just my 3 year old I don't trust the idea was just wondering what worked for other families?

I know everyone says not to leave your toddler in the bath even for just a second because of how quickly they can drown etc. for me personally I feel comfortable leaving my 3 nearly 4 year old daughter by herself just to grab a towel or something. For me it's because she's so loud and non stop talks and sings in the bath. So if I go get something I'm always listening. Def not the best option. I know it's a serious issue but it's how confident you feel leaving him there even for a moment. I would avoid it maybe for another year.?
My boy was 6, going on 7 when I stopped sitting in the bathroom with him. That was when he learned to shower lol. Maybe with non slip mats fitted and strict instructions to sit still until you get back, depending on how well he follows instructions?
I don't like leaving my toddler in the bath alone but occasionally I have had to duck out to grab a towel or clothes ect. but he wasn't out of my view for more then 3-5 seconds tops. Not till he is 2.5 to 3 years I don't think I could leave him much longer, rather be safe then sorry.
Depends if they can swim. Both of my kids did baby swim lessons, once they understood the basics, I had no problem leaving them in the bath the go get a towel or a drink. (Baths are no higher than belly button sitting up, so even a baby who can crawl can get their head out of the water) once they hit 3 my kids could swim across 3m wide pools without floaties, so baths didn't seem to require as much supervision after that. So long as I was close enough to hear them, I could clean the sink or sweep. Good luck
