Bad mum

Not sure if I need advice or a rant.

I want to go back to being the good mum I was 1-2 years ago. I feel that stress, children's behaviour, trying to plan for the future have etc have pushed me to no being a great mum anymore. I feel like we haven't got enough time anymore, I haven't got enough patience, and we just don't do much anymore. I hate myself for it! I'm constantly thinking that I need to be more patient and I need to be a great mum but everyday it's the same thing. I feel like we're stuck on repeat and I'm not sure what to do. I'm a failure :(

You are bit a failure, we all have those times. It's just time to reevaluate what's realistic, what would make your family and you the happiest. Sometimes we make ourselves miserable working towards some goal when our time would actually be better spent smelling the roses.

Are you working? Sounds like you need to get in tune with what your really want, can you cut back more and stay home more? Can your partner ? Are you working for life or money? I know you need money for life but if you learn to cut back you might enjoy how good life is!! We live on between 600-800 a week and that's a big upgrade!! 3 of us are so happy we spender time together than apart, have only friends in our circle , beach, parks everything :) so happy !! We are trying to find a house with a yard to buy so we can grow vegies and save more and love more simply :) can you simplify things more? Just a suggestion :) ..a different way :) xx

I felt like this for about a year while working casual and looking after home, kids and hubby... I felt like I couldn't put %100 into anything, my time was cut in half and I couldn't just focus on one thing, which made me feel like a failure and bored like I was on auto pilot.. Ive since quit working and started studying and am focusing on being a good mum and wife, its helped a lot... you are not a failure, so many mums feel like this.. life is hectic.. good luck
