Hi. I'm just looking for some others experience. I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my 2nd bub. At my midwife appointment this morning I only measured 1/2 a cm bigger than my last appointment. They are sending me for a growth scan on Friday. I'm just a bit stressed as to what is going on and just looking for some mummies with similar stories and what their outcomes were. I know there may be nothing wrong and they may have simply measured wrong but the more I think about it the more I stress.
Thank you.

I had this with both my pregnancies. My babies measured behind by at least 4 weeks at each scan. I had extra scans once they discovered it (31 weeks for my son and he stopped growing at 33 weeks, 29 weeks for my daughter but she continued to grow slightly for the duration of my pregnancy). My son was born at 37 weeks weighing 5lb 3oz and spent one night in special care. My daughter was born at 39 weeks weighing 5lb 9oz and didn't need to spend any time in the scu. My dr just put it down to the fact that I had severe morning sickness thus meaning my babies weren't getting as much nutrients, and she called it "small baby syndrome". Both of my kids are happy healthy bubbas, they rarely get sick, they're just small. Any growth is good, it's once they stop growing that you actually need to worry. So don't stress, request another scan if the dr doesn't already have you booked for one to put your mind at ease. Good luck, keep me updated if you please xx
Hi. I just wanted to let you know that my little boy was just lying in a difficult position so their measurements were completely off. At my growth scan he measured at about 3 pounds. :-)
That's fantastic news!
Based on measurements and ultrasounds I was given 5 different due dates because I was unsure of the date of my last period! The due dates varied by 3 months lol it really is just a guide don't stress it won't do you any good and either way you can't change it. My baby was born a healthy weight right in the middle of the due dates they have me lol
I constantly measured 2 weeks behind through my first pregnant and had a growth scan at 36 weeks. They found that everything was normal and they estimated bub to weigh 6lb at the time. I had my daughter at 38 weeks and she was only 5lb5oz but perfectly healthy. I am really petite and 5"1 and hubby is 5"7 so I'm not surprised I had a small baby.
