My baby boy is 6.5 months and no where near sitting him he just arches his back to throw himself backwards what age did your babies start sitting up? Just not sure how long I should leave it till I take him to a doctor. He was born at 36 weeks so not sure if I should take that into account aswell?

My bub is 6.5months and no where near sitting up either. She was born at 40+9. She is trying to crawl though
My 6.5mth old is sitting up but only because I constantly sat her up against cushions from about 5.5mths old, but my niece didn't sit up until she was 9mths cause her mum didnt do anything but she was walking at 10mths... all babies are different...
P.s she was arching her back and throwing herself back from about 5mths till about now only stopped in last few days since she has been able to balance herself when i sit her up.. She cant sit herself up yet that will at least another couple of months
My 7 month old (born at 34wks) isn't sitting up either and doesn't seem close. I think she will be crawling before sitting up.
My MCHN told me with both my girls that they shouldn't be sitting until they learn to crawl
My daughter sat up on her own very early from 4.5 mths. But then didn't crawl until 10mths and didn't walk until 15mths. Where as a friends daughter didn't sit until 10mths but then crawled at 11mths and walked at 12mths. Don't stress hun, they all do things in their own time.
My 7 month old has been sitting for a while, but it's only because she has hated laying on her back. She can sort of commando crawl and is rolling. At 6 1/2 months I wouldn't worry too much just yet.
