Baby Jet Lag

Baby Jet Lag

Boy oh boy am I going crazy! Ok so, we were in the UK for 3 weeks with our 9 month old. We arrived back in Perth, Aus on Monday last week (a week tomorrow) and my son has severe jet lag. My partner is FIFO so I have no support. I'm so extremely tired. My son has been refusing sleep all night and then will finally crash between 4 & 5am. I theb knew I couldn't let him sleep all day as that wound ruin my chances of ever getting him back onto Perth time so I've been waking him around 7am to start the day - bottle, play, breakfast & nap for 1 to 2 hours, wake him up, play, sunlight, bottle, lunch & nap for 1 to 2 hours, wake him up, play, sunlight, play, bottle, dinner, bath & bed at 6pm. He sleeps from 6pm to about 8.30pm and then is WIDE awake until about 4. I've tried just leaving him in his cot with dinner lighting. I've given him milk & changed his nappy as it was full and he is still messing around & crying on and off. This has been going on all week. He has had NO sleep so I'm not sure why he isn't sleeping and it's nearly been a week. I'm desperate for help.

Im going to get shot down for this...but PANADOL! Put your son to sleep at 8 instead of 6...give him panadol at 7.30. then bottle at quater to 8...
Had a very similar issue, doing exactly what your doing...but DO NOT wake him after nap time...he will re adjust I promise!
