Hoping you guys can settle a difference of opinion for me; giving your 3 year old a bit of your alcohol (spirit and mixer) in their own cup - 1. no cause for concern 2. frowned upon or 3. Really inappropriate

Why would anyone give a toddler something toxic, bad and definately inappropriate. Its Alcohol.
I have a 3 year old. No way.
Yeah I'm going to have to go with 3! 100% inappropriate
3 really in appropriate, especially if you aren't the parent
Thanks girls. I'm the poster. I 100% agree it's ridiculously inappropriate! So here's the situation, I caught my partner doing this tonight, whist he was cooking dinner my son was on the bench drinking a drink, I smelt the drink and it reeked of bourbon! There was only prob 2cm of liquid in there but I don't think that's the point. I was so furious I had to go for a walk to calm down. My partner already knows I don't like our son sipping his drinks and I feel giving him his own cup is taking it to a complete other level! My delimma is I feel this just should not happen but my partner thinks I'm overreacting and there is nothing wrong with what he done. I know he will more than likely do it again in the future and I just can't get through to him that I have every right to be against this and he should respect my point of view.
What am I meant to do? I refuse to allow him to manipulate this situation and make out like I'm overreacting
Take him off to a paediatrician or GP and get the doctor to tell him off!
And if that doesn't work I'd be telling him how child protective services in your state would feel about it.
Can't believe this question is being asked.
Hello?!?!
NO NO NO NO NO
3. Really inappropriate
But not really EXTREMELY inappropriate!
Well I just read this to my 13 year old son and asked him what he thought the answer is. He gave me the 'are you kidding me face and said " um 3 really inapropriate what a crazy question"
So if a 13 year old boy knows the answer to that your hubby needs a reality check!
Yes I'd take him to gp, nurse for effects on a babies brain and development, then aa or psychologist for effects on addiction social drinking habit, then if still doesn't get it, to police and docs for criminal/ abuse or neglect side of his actions.
Good luck some men are stupid it just sucks when your partner does one thing way out of the world of normal Or right.
3 My kids 6, 4 & 2 don't even get softdrink. Its a different situation if your 3yr old goes and grabs a sip from daddys drink (without his knowledge) but to pour a little bit in his own cup is very inappropriate. I teach my kids that they aren't allowed to drink anyone drinks. I have caught my 4yr old trying to sneak a drink of my coke tho and she gets in big trouble.
OMG….they probably think its ok to smoke around them as well. No way is this appropriate.
WTF??? If he continues to do this show him the bloody door!!!
